Positive Reviews

Close but no clangour.

The Victoria is only a short walk to Cantebury town centre and the area's main tourist attractions including Cantebury Roman Museum, St Augustine's Abbey and Marlowe Theatre. Despite its proximity to these tourist attractions, the hotel is far enough from

Outstanding service.

The staff at the hotel work extremely hard to keep guests satisfied and will go way beyond the call of duty to ensure a comfortable stay. They seem to genuinely care about your experience and are one of the highlights of staying at The Victoria.

Spacious rooms.

The recently refurbished rooms are quite large which give it a more homely feel and the majority of rooms also come equipped with a bathtub. Family rooms are especially roomy and have an added bonus in that they include a Jacuzzi.

Negative Reviews

Loud loos.

A recurring complaint of previous guests at The Victoria is their unusually loud toilets. The sound after flushing has been compared to, amongst other things, an aeroplane engine and a vacuum cleaner.

Chilly nights.

The heating at the hotel has been known to malfunction on occasion which may make for an uncomfortable evening during the winter. However, staff do provide electric radiators and extra duvets in these instances.

In need of a deep clean.

Due to the popularity of the hotel it is well occupied throughout the week and it seems cleaners do not get to every nook and cranny in between guests as some have commented on limescale, dust and stains in their rooms.
