Positive Reviews

Friendly staff make a real difference.

The staff at this hotel make you feel like you are staying in a five-star hotel such is their enthusiasm for their jobs. They will do anything they can to ensure that you are having a lovely stay, and their professionalism is possibly the main reason this hotel has three stars.

Great location for the Midlands.

Alton Towers, Stoke on Trent, and Leicester are just some of the many places you can visit with ease when staying at this hotel. The motorways give you very easy access to anywhere of note within an hours’ driving time.

Breakfast is quite tasty.

The breakfast on offer is not included in the room rate, but many guests have noted that it represents good value for money. There isn’t a very wide variety of items but what is on offer is said to be tasty enough.

Negative Reviews

In bad need of a refurb.

The hotel needs to be remodeled or completely renovated as it seems to be in its original state from the 1980 opening. It’s an okay hotel that could be so much better with some TLC.

Rooms not cleaned very well.

There must be very few on the cleaning staff team as the rooms are often said to be in a poor state. They are well-equipped but unfortunately they are not as clean as they could be with quite a lot of dust to be found.

Not a good night’s sleep.

The mattresses are in a very poor condition and really need to be replaced as they are possibly the originals from when the place first opened. They are lumpy and have no real spring left in them. Not good enough for a three-star hotel.
