About Hotel Felix

The Felix is a four-star boutique hotel located on the northwestern fringes of Cambridge. Deluxe rooms, leafy landscaped gardens, and fine dining characterise this charming Victorian villa.

All of the luxuriously appointed rooms come with king size beds, Egyptian cotton duvets and en-suite bathrooms lined in slate. Satellite TVs, laptop sized safes, minibars, complementary Wi-Fi and tea/coffee making facilities are all standard features.

The hotel provides a range of health and beauty treatments. Currency exchange services are available from reception. Ample on-site parking is provided free of charge.

Guests have a choice of either a cooked or Continental breakfast each morning. Light bites and Afternoon Tea options are served in 'The Orangery'. The highly regarded 'Graffiti Restaurant' is known for its modern Mediterranean cuisine and fine wines. Elegant cocktails are proffered from the licensed bar.

Cambridge's historic city centre is just one-and-a-half miles (a five-minute drive) from the Felix.

Positive Reviews

Perfectly quaint and peaceful setting

Walking around the pristine lawns, manicured shrubs, leafy tress and quaint gazebos with the grand old house in the background is enough to make you feel like an extra in a period drama Utterly timeless.

Perfect combination of city and country

There's no doubt that the Felix looks and feels like the archetypal English country mansion hotel It's hard to believe then that the centre of Cambridge – with it's lively bars, top-class restaurants and thriving music scene - is just a five-minute drive (or a forty-five-minute walk) away But it is.

Funky interiors juxtapose with the Victorian architecture perfectly

It's not easy to get the balance between old and new just right when decorating an old hotel This place has managed to get it spot on though as the bold, vibrant and super-stylish furnishings (such as the sexy pink/purple upholstery) look amazing amid the stately Victorian interiors The artwork displayed throughout the hotel is wonderfully striking too.

Negative Reviews

Complementary Wi-Fi is a bit iffy

Not a deal-breaker by any means, but it's definitely a bit of an irritation when the free Internet decides to call it a day when you're in the middle of doing something online.

Breakfast is a very unhurried affair

If you're used to swift 'grab & go' type breakfasts then you'll probably find the pace of things a little 'stately' here in the mornings Rapid service and a speedy turnaround aren't typical of the Felix breakfast experience.

Dog friendly rooms aren't great for everyone

The hotel's welcoming policy to canines is great if you're someone who likes to take Fido with you on holiday However, it's not so good if your room is within whimpering/yapping/barking distance of a pooch who's feeling a little homesick.
