Positive Reviews

Lovely hosts

The owners of this property are very hands on people that are always willing to help out with the guests. If you have a problem all you have to do is let them know, and they will try their best to find a solution. They also have some great advice on the local area.

Delicious food

The menus are pretty good at this traditional pub with plenty of options to satisfy even the fussiest of diners. You'll be well satisfied after a meal here, and there's nothing better than relaxing in the pub in front of the open fire.

Great atmosphere

The pub has a nice mix of both locals and visitors to the town. Everyone is very friendly, and there's great fun to be had in the evenings. They also have a fabulous selection of wines for a pub located in a small English market town.

Negative Reviews

Should food be hot or cold?

The staff at the restaurant have told a few guests that the food they ordered should be warm and not hot. This didn't sit well with the guests who felt that a simple apology and hotter food would have been a better solution.

Service could be a bit better

The food can be lovely at this place, but unfortunately, some guests have found that the waiting staff are quite stiff and sometimes leave people waiting before taking their orders. This is not a problem if the staff are busy but not when there are hardly any customers.
