Idyllic countryside setting.

The hotel is tucked away in the Welsh countryside and surrounded by extensive private grounds which provide a very scenic and peaceful backdrop. Guests thoroughly enjoyed the picturesque views from their rooms as well as spending time exploring the ground

Full of history and old-world charm.

Guests appreciated many of the original period features including the wood panelled dining room and open fire places. Staff took the time to give guests a guided tour of the premises and explain about the manor's rich historical past which many thoroughly

Tasty food and plenty of choice.

The food served at the on-site restaurant was said to be well-prepared and full of flavour. Many opted for the taster menu and were pleased with the wide variety of dishes on offer. The food was said to be beautifully presented and made from local produce

Negative Reviews

Dated decor.

Some of the guests mentioned that the rooms were starting to show their age and that they would benefit from modernisation. Quite a few objected to the basic bathroom fixtures and said that the carpets and upholstery were looking rather tired.

Slow service.

Guests who dined at the on-site restaurant said that the service was a bit on the slow side as they had to wait longer than expected to place their orders and some said that there were also lengthy delays between the various courses.

Poor soundproofing.

Quite a few guests said that they could hear everything going on in the adjoining rooms due to the walls being too thin whilst others objected to hearing footsteps and creaky floorboards from the occupants above them.
