Positive Reviews

Delightful dining in the Cotswolds.

Set in acres of perfect Cotswold countryside and beautifully furnished and decorated; the hotel is the perfect backdrop for a memorable dining experience. It doesn’t disappoint. Menus are interesting and beautifully created and you can really tell that th

All those little things really matter.

Lovely white table cloths and silver cutlery set the tone to perfection. Weather permitting, the grounds are ideal for a relaxing stroll and the spacious lounge is just the place for a relaxing coffee, or even a tipple!

Give the staff a bonus.

The staff make all the difference and here they contribute in no small measure to the overall enjoyment. Cheerful, attentive and efficient; whatever they are getting paid, it isn’t enough!

Negative Reviews

Wallet pummeling costs.

A cup of tea costs an arm and a leg, so you can only begin to imaging the investment needed to actually dine here. Daytime snack costs don’t seem too bad.

Dinner dress code.

Depending on your outlook, dress code is either a good thing, or a real pain. Ladies seem to love it anyway and gentlemen are just requested to wear jacket and tie for dinner.

Not a Broadway hit on every front.

Wi-Fi can be as bad here as in the lowliest seaside guest house. Sometimes service is excruciatingly slow. Room keys aren’t supplied; you have to request one.
