Positive Reviews

Feels like home.

Many guests comment that staying at Nineteen feels more like bunking down at a (very stylish) friends house than staying in a bed and breakfast. The kitchen is open and available for guests to help themselves to drinks and the hosts will gladly hop in the car with you to help you navigate the one way system and find a parking spot.

Safe, yet central location.

Even guests travelling alone feel very safe in the area surrounding Nineteen. It is set on a quiet street, yet just a short walk to the pier, beach and pavilion and only a little further still to bars and restaurants.

Not your average B&B.

Nineteen presents itself as an upmarket bed and breakfast and this is certainly what most guests find. Decor is clean and modern, an eclectic, contemporary art collection adorns the walls and guest rooms are kitted out with Smart TVs and Bluetooth speakers, luxury toiletries and quality cotton bedding.

Negative Reviews

No cooked option.

Most guests are highly complimentary about the breakfasts offered at Nineteen, with timely service and fresh produce offered. The only addition some suggest would make it even better? A cooked option.

Feathered visitors.

Double-glazed sash windows were fitted to the rooms during the renovations in 2014 but, unfortunately, even they can't keep out the noise from the alternative dawn chorus of hoards of local seagulls; an issue all over Brighton.

A matter of personal taste.

Some things just come down to a matter of taste. You may love the unique art pieces dotted around or, like some, you may find some of the more outlandish pieces to be a little too risqué.
