Positive Reviews

You'll get a good night's sleep

While some of the single beds are on the narrow side, all of the mattresses at Brighton Surf are really comfortable, so you can happily rest your weary limbs after a hard day's sightseeing.

It is clean and well presented

As well as having an interesting aesthetic, the hotel is impressively clean.

Your feet can take you anywhere

You'll find yourself in a really good location If you are willing to walk for up to 25 minutes, you can get almost anywhere worth seeing in Brighton The pier is a pleasant stroll along the promenade and the city has a huge array of shops, bars and restaurants In the immediate vicinity, there are also some nice coffee shops, pubs and eateries.

Negative Reviews

Where's the human contact?

Brighton Surf operates a self check-in system, whereby you are emailed the requisite codes to access your guestroom While this works well, you might find the lack of interaction with staff problematic if you require some local knowledge to help you navigate your way around Brighton and Hove.

You'll have to take your bags with you

Unfortunately, the hotel doesn't offer a luggage storage facility So if you have a long gap between your check-out and your journey out of the city, you will be forced to carry your baggage with you all day On the subject of luggage, the staircase is quite narrow, so it's not easy to climb up or down with your suitcases.

It's a squeeze

Some guestrooms are very small, and their bathrooms are absolutely tiny Indeed, it's hard to move around in the shower and the shower curtain will likely stick to you.
