Positive Reviews

Food in the bar is good

Many reviews recommend the food served in the bar offering a wide selection and also a kids menu for families who stay. They serve the breakfast here and also meals throughout the day.

Fantastic wedding venue

At the top of all reviews are the many guests who have stayed whilst having their wedding. Their family members also leave a review to explain how much of a great place it is also. They state the staff are very helpful, the decorations are tasteful and food superb.

Great value for money

The hotel offers great value for money in comparison to others in the area. The nightly rate includes breakfast and still come in cheaper than other hotels who only charge for the rooms with breakfast as an additional charge.

Negative Reviews

Cold, no heaters and smells of damp

The hotel has many negative reviews about the heating. The rooms are cold, heaters don't work and draughts come through the windows.

Lacking in members of staff

There are many reviews mentioning a shortage of reception and bar staff. They explain weddings were being held at the venue when they stayed which take all staff members leaving little behind to tend to people arriving needing attention.

Desperately needs money spending on it

The windmill dates back to the 18th century. It retains most of its original features as well as having the extension built on for the banqueting rooms. Reviews state it needs renewing, carpets are worn, walls are scuffed, furniture tired and smells.
