Positive Reviews

Well appointed rooms.

Guests had everything that they needed for a comfortable stay. All of the bases were covered, including a great bed, fabulous linens, and above average towels that were nice and fluffy.

Charming owners.

While a few guests complained of absent staff members on arrival, when the owners did make an appearance, they were found to be warm and hospitable. Guests could tell that they took pride in their work, and enjoyed the friendly service.

Fabulous food.

What's better than being able to stroll downstairs for a meal or a drink, and then return to a great room? That was the sentiment of many guests, who loved the close proximity of the restaurant, and the mouth watering food. The Caribbean twist on meals was most talked about, and guests gave top marks to inventive cuisine.

Negative Reviews

Far from civilization.

Guests staying here felt a little remote at times, especially when the phone signal cut out, or Internet access was impossible. Located down a very narrow lane, several guests commented that it seemed like they were completely removed from the outside world. However, many guests took the opportunity to enjoy the peace and quiet.

Slow service.

Service in the restaurant sometimes took longer than expected. Hungry guests had a hard time waiting, and it was even harder with the delicious smells wafting out of the kitchen. If you want to spend a leisurely evening here, you won't have any problems, but you might want to pack a snack just in case.

The crickets are chirping.

Crickets might be all you hear at night, as many guests said that the pub seemed to close down early. Those looking for a nightcap were often out of luck.
