Positive Reviews

Positive about facilities and rooms

The cleanliness and comfort of the rooms appealed to reviewers, who also liked the way selected rooms had lovely views towards the Irish Sea and promenade. Families often remarked that they were well catered for with family rooms that boasted partitioned kids' sleeping areas featuring bunk beds. Many visitors also said they appreciated the pleasant shared facilities like the relaxed bar and TV lounge with video games.

Seafront location at quieter end of town

The location reportedly offered travellers the best of both worlds as it was within easy reach of the town centre but at southern end of the promenade which was quieter and suited those preferring somewhere a bit more tranquil away from the hustle and bustle. Another bonus was the easy access to promenade attractions via trams, which conveniently stopped just a few steps away.

Warm welcome and praise for breakfast

Reviewers often expressed positive opinions about the customer service, saying they were made to feel at home by friendly and accommodating hosts. Diners largely enjoyed the full English breakfast which featured freshly-cooked hot options.

Negative Reviews

Occasional grumbles about rooms

A few critics were disappointed that there were some rooms that were fairly small. Moreover, it was occasionally claimed that there were certain guestrooms which could have been warmer at night. There were also bathrooms that would have benefited from modernization, according to some guests.

Parking headaches encountered

Although motorists appreciated the availability of on-street public parking at locations near this small hotel, there was no guarantee of a space during peak periods. A few visitors were frustrated that they ended up parking some distance away after hunting for alternative spaces.

Breakfast was sometimes chaotic

According to some diners, the breakfast service tended to become a bit chaotic when the hotel was busy.
