Positive Reviews

Rooms are very quiet

This hotel is located right on the A456, an important artery into the city centre from the M5 which can be very busy at times You wouldn't know this when you're in your room though, even at night, as the noise from the traffic is barely audible.

Extremely accessible location

Having the M5, M6 and M42 motorways all within easy striking distance makes getting to and from The Apollo a very straightforward affair, regardless of where it is in the country you're driving from.

Breakfast is a treat

Some hotels do breakfast well and some don't: this one definitely falls within the camp of the former Hot or cold, cooked or not; it's all good at The Apollo Without doubt, you'll not be disappointed with your morning meal here.

Negative Reviews

Hotel is a little dated

It has to be said that, both from the inside and the outside, The Apollo does look and feel like it has been transported direct from the 1980s.

Extra hundred pounds deposit is an unwelcome surprise

The hotel management enforce a policy of insisting guests pay a hundred pounds deposit to cover any 'unfortunate events' which may result in damage being done to the room during their stay This can come as quite a shock to some Be warned – reception staff won't allow you to check in if you don't hand over a deposit beforehand.

Some rooms don't enjoy great Wi-Fi reception

Whilst some rooms are blessed with good Wi-Fi reception others are beset with coverage that could be described as mediocre at best Still, at least it's free.
