Hotel Big Bear Frontier Cabins and Hotels are located by Big Bear Lake. It offers stunning views of the mountains, access to private beaches and use of barbecues.

Pet Pooch Friendly

It's wonderful that guests can bring their dogs along. Guests can book rooms which are spacious enough to accommodate even larger breeds of dogs. There are also pet friendly beaches, so that dogs aren't confined to certain designated areas.

Good Value for Money

This accommodation is in a wonderful setting and offers a lot of facilities and amenities for a very low price. During bad weather guests can play pool indoors or rent free DVDs. Outside there is seating and barbecues for guests' use.

Wonderful Lake Location

As there are many bars and restaurants within walking distance, visitors can enjoy a few alcoholic drinks without worrying about the drive back. There's also plenty of shops and other attractions downtown. Guests can also walk to the beautiful lake within just a couple of minutes and access hiking trails within a five-minute drive.

Downside to Dogs Staying

Some guests found bedding and mattresses stained and assumed that this was due to presence on beds and mattresses of former canine guests.

Rough and Rustic Style

This accommodation may not suit those looking for all the luxuries associated with higher priced hotels. The interior of the rooms could do with some updating. However, for some this basic and affordable accommodation suits their expectation of log cabin style accommodation in natural setting by the lake.

Loud Exterior Noise

As this accommodation is popular with pet owners, during busy periods many of these guests leave their rooms early with their dogs and this can cause quite a lot of noise. It is also near to the main road, so the sounds from passing vehicles can also disturb.
