Positive Reviews

Airy room layouts.

Whether you book in the executive suite or standard apartment unit, you'll experience a great deal of freedom and openness in both your bedroom and sitting area. The units succeed in maximising your personal space by cleverly (and tastefully) arranging furniture.

A home away from home.

The historic nature of the building won't be lost on you, even if there are some contemporary elements put in place alongside older designs. The staff takes pride in keeping the building as welcoming and charming as possible, relying on small touches like preheated rooms and decorative plants throughout your apartment.

Ideal placement.

Reaching the area's top destinations and tourism hubs is a breeze, thanks to the property's nearness to Bendigo's centre. Whether you're heading out for dinner, a trip to a regional landmark, or just aimless sightseeing, you're never far from the area's top attractions.

Negative Reviews

Obscure entrances.

Because the property offers minimal instructions to arriving guests, it can be difficult to find your way to the reception area. The building is packed in with several other businesses and structures, so you should stay in contact with the front desk (ideally by phone) to clarify any confusing directions.

Intrusive noises.

While the building's soundproofing protects it from most of Bendigo's street-level noise, it's not uncommon to hear guests or restaurant patrons moving around at odd hours. Some apartments are placed too close to main activity areas, which might pose a problem if you're a light sleeper.

Rigid mattresses.

Be prepared for a stiffer mattress than usual when you stay here. The pillows are average in density, but the mattress itself can prove to be uncomfortably hard, especially if you're accustomed to soft bedding at home.
