Positive Reviews

Beautiful surroundings

The hotel is just a short walk from the city centre, but the gardens around the hotel impresses guests the most It’s an old Victorian house and lounging on the terrace is a relaxing and pleasant experience.

Amazing staff made it an unforgettable stay

It’s well known that the staff in smaller hotels are usually quite friendly, but the staff here are far more than that They treat guests like royalty from the moment they arrive In fact, the concierge bends over backwards to help fulfill guests’ wishes.

No two rooms are the same

The rooms are all individually decorated with no two the same Some even have two sofas and a few antiques, something you don’t usually find in a hotel And the comfy bed is the icing on the cake.

Negative Reviews

Bathrooms need an update

The bathrooms are nice but need a makeover There was some mould on the shower head, and the paint was peeling If redecorated then this place is definitely worth the money.

Limited breakfast menu

The hotel takes pride in its full English breakfast but for those that are not interested in such a big meal, there’s not much else to choose from A few more items would have made the breakfast much more appealing.

Avoid the basement rooms

Being a small hotel, the owners have made the most of the space they have, and so you may get a basement room Not a very pleasant experience as you expect to get at least some kind of view Too dark during the day and too bright at night due to the car park lights.
