About Dorian House

Dorian House is an imposing Victorian mansion property offering e-suite bed and breakfast accommodation.  It is just a 10 minute walk from the centre of Bath.

Spacious rooms at Dorian House feature marble bathroom, power shower, hairdryer, telephone, complimentary toiletries, colour television, DVD player, iPod dock, free Wi-Fi and bathrobes.   The outlook is either to the garden or Bath’s Royal Crescent.

Free parking is available and throughout the hotel’s interior, contemporary items of art fuse with Asian antiques.  From the relaxing lounge, the Asian/Japanese theme continues through the property and into the well tended garden.

During warmer weather, breakfast choices may be taken here as an alternative to the dining room.  There are numerous options for later dining with restaurants that include Menu Gordon Jones and GPT Smokehouse.

The railway station, Roman Baths, Bath Abbey and all the city centre shops and attractions are a 10 minute walk away.

Positive Reviews

Music to your ears.

Very welcoming, staff and owners are very friendly and informative. Always available to offer advice as to how you should best enjoy your visit. One of the owners was a cellist with the London Symphony Orchestra; they are certainly in tune with the requir

Attractive décor.

This guesthouse isn’t decorated ‘on the cheap’. There is a Japanese theme running throughout and even into the very attractive gardens; a really super place to enjoy breakfast during the warmer months.

Breakfast bonus.

There’s an extensive breakfast choice and it’s all cooked and presented perfectly.

Negative Reviews

Crowded car park.

Spaces are limited so it tends to fill up quite quickly. 'Exiting is exciting' as you reverse down the steep hill whilst, at the same time, avoiding other traffic. Parking is though a free bonus so best not to complain too loudly.

For the price paid, rooms are quite small and lacking in some elements that you would expect to see at these hefty prices.

Wrong side of the tracks.

This isn’t the area of Bath that the tourist brochures bang on about. It’s somewhat down market and to get to the centre, you take a number of short cuts including one under the railway track. There are boarded up properties and a, sometimes handy, multi
