Quiet out-of-town location near Lake District

This hotel's out-of-town location between Barrow-in-Furness and Ulverston was reportedly quiet but well-situated for quick and easy access to area attractions, museums, beauty spots, dining options and sports venues. Furthermore, it made a convenient base for exploring the beautiful Lake District National Park nearby and was within easy driving distance of Barrow-in-Furness and Ulverston town centres and railway stations. Motorists liked the ample free parking and proximity of the A590 and A595. Guests also enjoyed taking strolls along the coast nearby.

Friendly staff and enjoyable food

This family-run hotel benefited from friendly, helpful and professional personnel, according to many reviewers. Diners enjoyed the restaurant food, saying there were good seasonal British dishes on the menu that were freshly-prepared and delicious. The cooked breakfasts were also a hit with guests.

Comfy rooms at reasonable prices

Travellers were keen on the wide choice of room types from doubles and twins to family rooms and a bridal suite. The accommodation was frequently described as spacious, clean and comfy. Many guests admired the pleasant countryside and estuary views from selected rooms. The usually affordable room rates reportedly offered decent value for money for the area.
