Positive Reviews

The guest rooms are clean and comfortable

The guest rooms at Shelleven Guest House are super clean and tidy. Comfortable beds, made up with crisp white sheets, and lots of fluffy towels make for a relaxing stay.

The staff is wonderful

The owners of their guest house are warm and welcoming from the moment you walk through the door. They are happy to accommodate most any request and they can point you in the direction of the most popular local sights as well as restaurants and local shops.

A room with a view

Some of the guest rooms boast gorgeous views of Bangor Bay and the Irish Sea beyond. If this amenity is important to you, be sure to request it when you make your reservation.

Negative Reviews

Some rooms are smaller than others

Some of the guest rooms at Shelleven Guest House are smaller than others and have not got much natural light. This could be problematic for those who are travelling with more than one person, have lots of luggage in tow or need extra room to manoeuvre.

Needs an update

Although the guest rooms at this guest house are clean, the furnishings could use an update and bathroom fixtures could use a replacement.

The WiFi is spotty

The Internet connection in the guest rooms can be slow and spotty which could be problematic if you are travelling on business,  want to get an email out in a hurry or use your devices on demand. But if needs be, you can go to the public spaces where the Wi-Fi is spot-on.
