Positive Reviews

Dining is highly recommended

Although there are a few occasional disappointments, guests tend to rate the standard of dining here highly. Breakfast in the room is appreciated and guests find the gastropub menu offers plenty of interesting choices. Service in the restaurant is also rated highly.

Good location

Guests like the location of the Broad Leys. The property seems to be in a quiet enough spot to ensure a bit of tranquility during your stay, yet you'll be within easy walking distance of the shops, restaurants and entertainment in the town centre.

Value for money

Rates for the rooms and the cottage are often deemed to offer value for money for guests. Freebies such as Wi-Fi, parking and breakfast certainly help. Plus, guests appreciate the 20% discount available in the restaurant, often commenting that this offered considerable savings.

Negative Reviews

Small car park

A number of guests mention that they found the car parking was a little small, although this will probably only present a problem during busier periods, such as over the summer when people come to enjoy the outdoor seating in the garden.

Costly drinks

Although the general opinion is that the hotel offers good value for money, some guests do find the cost of drinks was a little higher than they expected.

Occasional issues with underfloor heating

While the underfloor heating in the guest accommodation is appreciated, some guests do report a few issues with this amenity. Some guests found they couldn't get it work properly while others were unable to turn it off.
