Positive Reviews

Popular location

The location of this guest house has proved popular with guests. The setting in Aviemore means that shopping and dining spots are nearby but you'll have the landscape of the Cairngorms National Park literally on your doorstep. The location is also within reasonable driving distance of Edinburgh and Glasgow.

Enjoyable breakfast

Guests very rarely have anything negative to say about the breakfast here, with the majority finding their morning meal to be of an excellent standard. Guests have appreciated both the choice and quality of the food, also enjoying the variety available from day to day.

Friendly and helpful service

The staff here is frequently described as friendly and welcoming. Guests find the staff is knowledgeable about the area and is happy to offer advice and recommendations as to where to dine and about popular walking trails in the national park.

Negative Reviews

May find rooms small

Although guests tend to find the rooms here are clean and comfortable, they also mention that the accommodation is a little on the small side. Not all rooms are the same size but this complaint definitely applies to some of the accommodation available here.

Some noise concerns

Reviews of this property suggest that the rooms could be quieter. Guests have reported a fair amount of internal noise coming from nearby rooms as well as traffic noise until fairly late in the evening.

Mixed feedback about Wi-Fi

Feedback about the standard of the Wi-Fi here can be mixed. While some guests encountered no issues, others were unable to get online. It seems very much that the strength and availability of the signal depend on which room you are allocated.
