About Tormaukin Hotel

Tormaukin Hotel means “rabbit hill” and is a quaint country inn in Perthshire, Scotland.

13 modernly furnished rooms feature satellite TV, free Wi-Fi, and en suite bathrooms with luxury toiletries. Two chalet rooms are available.

Set in an 18th century building in Glendevon village, old touches like fireplaces and beamed ceilings remain. Private parking is available. The hotel owners are happy to help organise activities or packed lunches for their guests. Funeral teas and weddings can be held here. Dogs are welcome.

Breakfast is included. Classic cuisine is served at the hotel's popular restaurant, which was featured in the 2015 Michelin Eating Out Guide. The restaurant is open daily for lunch and dinner, and there is an on site bar.

Many outdoor activities are possible in Perthshire, such as walking and fishing. Venue to several golf events, Gleneagles is not far away. Distilleries are also a popular tourist destination.

Charming rural location with many outdoor options.

Guests enjoy the cosy interior and warm country atmosphere of Tormaukin. Near the hotel are many walking paths, as well as opportunities for golf. Go a little farther out and find distilleries, castles, and major cities, such as Perth and Stirling.

Great staff and friendly service.

The staff can't do enough for you. Packed meals are on offer, and staff are happy to help in any way they can.

Fantastic foods on offer.

The restaurant has been noted in the Michelin Eating Out Guide. With every dish made fresh, many diners are pleased with high quality of the food. Guests are also impressed with the complimentary breakfasts.

Negative Reviews

Occasional poor service at the restaurant.

Service in the restaurant has been known to be slow. Diners are sometimes left waiting for their meals for long periods of time or for orders that never arrive. Others complain that the prices, especially at lunchtime, are too high.

Doubles are two beds pushed together.

Travellers have noticed that the double beds are actually two singles pushed together. Beds may begin to separate in the night or be uncomfortable.

Cheap furniture.

Some have expressed disappointment with the rooms, saying that the furniture is expensive and that there is a general shabbiness.
