Positive Reviews

Unbeatable location

The Wateredge Inn couldn't be in a more picturesque spot A stay here will put you right by the water and the private slip and jetty are perfect for boat owners Even if you’re not much of a sailor, you can’t fail to like the location It puts the best of the Lake District within easy reach.

Personal and friendly service

With very few exceptions, guests love the staff It seems that the team here is a friendly bunch who offer a great welcome and seem to genuinely want you to have an enjoyable stay Numerous guests remark that the staff recalled and used their names throughout their visit.

Spotlessly clean

Comments about the inn’s cleanliness are generally positive and the term “spotlessly clean” crops up regularly The entire property is clean, but special kudos goes to the bedrooms which despite being old are usually in tip top shape.

Negative Reviews

High bar prices

Complaints about the price of drinks are fairly common Whether you’re a pint drinker or are partial to Pinot, it’s likely that you’re going to be a little disappointed at the dent each drink makes on your wallet.

Furry friends

The Lake District is a haven for dog lovers and you’ll find a fair few of them at this inn Although dogs aren't allowed in some public areas, you’ll likely come across several in the bar Some people report having to deal with dogs staring at them while they ate All this probably sounds great if you’re bringing your dog, but perhaps not so much if you’re travelling with a two-legged companion.

Temperamental Wi-Fi

This doesn't crop up all that often, but some guests do report a patchy internet service It’s something to be aware of if you need 100 percent reliable access.
