Positive Reviews

Top of the morning breakfast

The Plough Inn has developed a reputation for preparing a great breakfast every morning, where guests can relax in the dining area and start off with some strong coffee or juice. Visitors love the array of choices, from hot bacon and eggs, to fresh muffins and breads.

Wonderfully comfortable beds

You can be sure you will have a fantastic night's sleep on these beds, as they have been described by travellers as being exceptionally comfortable. Some guests actually enquire about the brand of the bed just in case they need to invest in a new one someday.

Spacious rooms

The rooms at the Inn are airy and wonderfully spacious, according to many visitors, where, even if you are staying as a family, there is enough space to store your luggage, and plenty of space to relax and play board games, or sip on a drink with a good book.

Negative Reviews

Random vehicle noise

Some visitors feel that The Plough Inn is let down by its close proximity to the A415. At random hours of the day and night you might be disturbed by a large truck going by, or a hooter being blown. Regardless, the surroundings are otherwise quiet.

No food in evenings

If you want to enjoy an evening meal, unfortunately you will have to go off-site to a nearby pub for a bite to eat. Guests were a little surprised that only breakfast was offered, and were a bit frustrated at needing to walk down the road to eat. Nonetheless, the food was great.

Bathroom a bit damp

There have been some complaints about the bathroom being a little messy, with water getting everywhere after a shower, and leaving quite a bit of dampness. It might just be a loose shower curtain which is fixable by maintenance.
