Positive Reviews

Bursting with character

Guests adore the Kings Arms for its oldy-world feel. Whilst it is historic, with sloping floors and quirky features, it does not feel antiquated and dusty. Quite the opposite in fact. Guests love its warm and comfortable atmosphere and tasteful furnishing

Very friendly staff

A very high percentage of guests comment on the very friendly and helpful nature of the staff. Whilst helping carry bags up to rooms is always appreciated, it is their overall cheerful demeanour that seems to win over the guests.

Exceptional food

The food draws people to the Kings Arms from far and wide, along with the warm ambiance of the pub itself. Guests find it of an excellent quality along with the special house ales.

Negative Reviews

The warm ambiance of the pub is well appreciated, however, with that comes the inevitable risk of noise. Parties below or on the patio outside disturb some guests. Some of them grit their teeth and bear it, though knowing that it doesn't usually go o

No parking

Whilst there is free parking close by, some guests would prefer to have onsite parking. For most people though this is a minor inconvenience and doesn't take anything away from their overall experience.

Slow Wi-Fi

There is the odd report of slow Wi-Fi connection or not being able to connect at all in some of the rooms. This does not seem to be a general trend though and may be down to a temporary loss of connection or perhaps over-use in the bar?
