We spent a very enjoyable week with friends at Landarte totel in Zumaya near, San Sebastian. The hotel is beautifully situated above the port with great views. The well restored and excellently equipped old farm house with tastefully selected decorations makes it one of the best rural hotels we have visited. If you want to visit the Basque region, from San Sebastian to Bilbao this is the central location you’re want, beautiful cities and musea are all within an hour’s drive and the excellent Basque kitchen is to be found at numerous locations from standard restaurants to 3 star Michelin places, all with great food and services and moreover at surprisingly affordable prizes.
We found our wonderful hosts more than happy to supply us with all the information we could dream of.
