horrible

Booked for 3 nights - stayed 1 night. Room was very tired and dated, bed far too small, (one had to climb over the other to get in and out). TV ariel not connected resulting in very poor reception. One chair for two people. En-suite, dirty and smelly. Shower head disgusting and extractor fan completely blocked with fluff (human skin and dust and god knows what else). Manager not available in the morning, eventually got refund for unspent nights at midday. No apology offered by staff. Didn't have breakfast, but saw it - looked revolting! Don't stay there!

bed jammed in by three walls - en-suite dirty and smelly with fine cultures growing on shower head and extractor fan. Furnishings were definitely not of railway origin. Room very tired and far too small for two people. Did not warrant £70 a night. Room service non existant.

Front Desk

reception adequate but gave totally false impression of the actual accommodation. Extremely noisy from road and cargo trains into early hours with no means to shut noise out, leaving window closed very quickly resulted in room running with condensation. Staff unable to act without authority of manager who was not available for hours at a time.

Did not sample food (state of room extinguished our appetite for breakfast) but we saw jugs of fruit juice which were clearly not fresh, and saw an English breakfast being served to another guest which looked to be swimming in grease.

Quiet Location

No night life, locals have clearly reached the conclusion that this is not the best eatery in the area. Extremely noisy all day and night with trains and traffic.
