[more]Romley House is a privately owned guesthouse in York that has a 3 star classification from the English Tourist Board. The building is a large late Victorian Town House that has been in the hands of the present owners for over 15 years. It is located in a quiet residential area but is only approximately 10 minutes walk from the railway station and the town's tourist attractions including York Minster, the Shambles and the Yorvik Viking Centre.
All of the rooms have double glazed windows and en suite bathrooms as well as tea and coffee making facilities.
Breakfast is included in the cost of a standard room rate and consists of a full cooked breakfast although most special diets can be catered for on request. A private bar is available for guests as well as a communal TV lounge that features a large collection of clowns!
Romley House does not have its own car park but free on street parking is available close by. It is also conveniently located close to public transport links into the city for those guests arriving without their own vehicle.
