York Minster has been standing since medieaval times having been built between the 12th and 15th centuries. It is well placed in the centre of York itself and the Central Tower of the Minster offers views across the city. The Minster is open to the public between 9am and 6.30pm Monday to Saturday and from 12pm to 6.30pm on Sundays but check the website for current opening times as services can dictate when the Minster is open for visiting. The entry fee of £5 per adult and £3.50 for concessions is charged from 9am Monday to Saturday and from 12pm on Sundays. Children under 16 are free. |
