Although the Minster doesn't have the height of other comparable historical places of worship, it is absolutely breath taking in its size and intricate Gothic design. The Minster is beautiful inside and out, with the large stained glass windows throughout adding to its awe. The Great East Window, at over 23 metres tall, is the largest example of medieval stained glass in the world. I've visited a cathedral in just about every city I've been to, and York Minster is most definitely the most breath taking, followed closely by Cologne Cathedral. Definitely recommended for a couple of hours of amazement.
