[pierrejacques, 05.03.2007] Describing it as "one of the most beautiful pools in Yellowstone National Park", the author provides a number of photographs and states that the pool is thus named due to its "deep blue coloration and likeness to the Morning Glory flower". He also says that it "has on rare occasions been known to erupt as a geyser" and that the colour is changing due to blockages caused by visitors tossing "tons of coins, trash, sticks and rocks into the pool". This, in turn, allows "the red and yellow algae that formerly only survived at the fringe of the pool to grow toward the center".
