[jo145, 10/12/2010] The Cornucopia Hotel sounded ideal to us -
situated on the outskirts of the pretty Gozitan village of Xaghra, (pronounced Shara) on a high ridge with views over the valley down to the sea at Marsalforn, a small family run hotel away from the busier seaside villages but easy to reach the tourist places.
The Cornucopia is a converted farmhouse, and parts date back 300 years in the bar and lounge. Limestone walls and beautiful arched ceilings in the restaurant are typical of Gozo, lighting is subdued and lots of candlelight gives a romantic feeling, making this a popular hotel with young couple
