Description:	Monk's Cowl is located approximately 70km from Estcourt and is the entry point to the wilderness areas at Mlambonja and Mdedelo. It is part of the Ukhahlamba Drakensberg Park which has been declared a UNESCO Heritage Site and which features diverse indigenous flora and fauna. There are a variety of hikes available, ranging from a few hours to a few days. The site offers camping facilities as well as a curio shop and tearoom which is open from 08h00 to 16h00 daily. Please note that pets are disallowed. Gate Opening Hours: Summer ( October to March ) 06h00 to 19h00 Winter (April to September ) 06h00 to 18h00
