Article
[Newfloridian, 02.12.2006] The author notes this house's "most famous owner" was Beatrix Potter. Strikingly built of stone and red brick with a green slate roof, it has a large garden in a "scenic position" on Windermere. Now a stylish hotel, many bedrooms look out over the lake. All rooms are "comfortably furnished" and some can accommodate a family. As well as a bar and restaurant, the hotel offers limited room service and health club facilities with an indoor pool. Frommers "recommends" Lindeth Howe and considers it to be "moderately priced" ($$)
