[congregational, 12/07/2011] We stayed here after taking advantage of a offer found online comprising of a superior room, breakfast, evening meal and afternoon tea. The hotel is in a great location, just on the edge of Bowness-on-Windermere. You approach the hotel via a long, private drive, and it is set in it's own private grounds with view of Lake Windermere. I believe the property was once owned by Beatrix Potter. The room: A good size room with a huge bed (albeit two singles joined together).
