The Grand Turk is a replica of a typical 18th century man-o-war ship . It measures over 43 metres in length and is constructed of oak, iroko and mahogany. It was built in Marmaris, Turkey in 1997 and has featured in several films including The Hornblower. Since June 1991 The Grand Turk has been anchored in Whitby Harbour where it now attracts thousands of visitors every year. It is open daily for visitors throughout the year from 10am until 4pm. The admission charges are: Adults - £4.00 (6 Euros) Concessions - £3.00 (4.5 Euros) Children - £2.00 (3 Euros) Family - £10.00 (15 Euros) A family ticket is valid for 2 adults and up to 3 children. |
