[more]The Whitby Museum is located in Pannett Park and also incorporates the Pannett Art Gallery. On show here are exhibits from Whitby's maritime past including displays of fossils, whaling exhibits and Captain Cook memorabilia.
Facilities at the museum include: disabled access, disabled toilet, lift, novelty shop and tea room.
Entrance fees are £3 per adult with concessions for children, senior citizens and groups.
The opening hours are:
Tuesday - Sunday 9.30am - 4.30pm (no admissions after 4.00pm)
Closed Mondays except bank holidays and half term holidays when it is open 9.30am - 4.30pm.
The long distance walk "The Cleveland Way" passes close to this museum.
