Hotels nearbyThe Whitby Wizard is a science museum and it is the first of its kind in North Yorkshire. The museum has nearly 100 experiments to try out and is run by Mr Dag Kjelldahl. Dag is from Norway and moved to Whitby in 1999 he also opened a successful science centre in Norway. Experiments are interactive and include testing the sense of smell, plus other experiments that involve the human skeleton and light and colour.

This building contains a collection of artefacts relating to the history of local sea rescues.
