Proclaiming it as "highly recommended", the author states that the "magnificent" Fairmont Chateau Whistler has an "imposing presence " which is enhanced by the "comfortable, classy" and "very grand" lobby. The "exceptional" staff provided a "high level of service and friendliness" throughout and the "very large" bedroom was part of a suite which the author declares to be "twice the size" of his apartment. The "highly recommended" Chateau Whistler is said to be "the most luxurious hotel" in Whistler and in the opinion of the author no other local establishments can offer the same "quality or breadth of services". Guestrooms are described as being "not overly large", but nevertheless providing "all the amenities you would expect" and the club level floor has a "very nice lounge", honor bar and "much more personal" service. JOP spent a "wonderful" weekend in a "very nice room" in this "lovely" resort. He stayed on the Club Floor. Although the rooms are "small", they are "very nicely appointed" with a "large" bathroom. In the Club Lounge the author had a "very nice" coninental breakfast. The lounge is a "very comfortable" space, with "excellent" service from the staff. His dinner in the restaurant was "pleasant" and he describes the cuisine as "very good westcoast fare". JOP would "definitely" stay here if he comes to this area again.
