[GuidoM, 07/12/2011] This was the most disappointing stay at Western Cape, ZA we had ever !
We booked the pricy penthouse incl. a rooftop outside pool. Looked great on their website, but:
-Pool is dirty, water cold as ice
-No cleaning of room for 2 days, no refresh of amenities, towels etc
-Loveless, simple breakfast on 1 level, totaly un-qualified service
-Neighbourhood is complete fenced & hightech-secured Ocean Palms has brocken doors / fittings etc. - No security.
This is a loveless & cost focused operated house, posing to be as a 5 Luxury Guesthouse.
[ricksallee, 20/11/2011] Hospitality at its best! Suites are spacious and immaculate some with balconies and a wonderful view of the "heads". Located in a residential area but about 5 minutes from shopping ,restaurants and activities.Ross recommended "Firefly" as an evening restaurant and it will will likely surprise you with food and service,in a good way. The service at Villa Afikana is smart efficient and done in the most friendly way. Ross and Bianca run a 5 star guest house and the best we visited in 6 weeks of travellng South Africa.
[sydney_b, 19/09/2011] As there are many nice shops and restaurants on Kloof Street, I was not surprised to find that The Opal Lounge was yet another good find. I was surprised however, at just how good it was! The restaurant, which deems itself "Cape Town's most beautiful restaurant" did in fact present some of the most beautifully arranged, melt-in-your-mouth dishes I've ever seen / tasted. That said, I was not as impressed by the restaurant's decor. The dishes presentation were extremely modern and minimalistic, however the restaurant itself felt outdated and a bit formal. Either way, the atmosphere was still enjoy

[sydney_b, 16/09/2011] The 9km drive up to Chapman’s Peak, which winds between Hout Bay and Noordhoek, is one of the most scenic I've seen in the world. The Breathtaking viewpoint is even better when seen at sunset. If you're planning a trip to Cape Town, making the trip to Chapman’s Peak is worth adding to the itinerary.
[sydney_b, 16/09/2011] The Neighbourgoods Market located within the Old Biscuit Mill in Cape Town's Woodstock district is one of my favorite spots. The hustle and bustle of local South Africans and a few lucky tourists can be found every Saturday from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm. With everything from native South African snacks such as Biltong to clothes made by local designers, to hand jarred-jams and even early afternoon drinks, this is the place to be on Saturday mornings.
[sydney_b, 16/09/2011] Although Long Street is where most tourists frequent when going out for a night on the town, the nearby Kloof Street is where the locals go. My favorite spot on the street? Asoka Bar. I was lucky enough to find this place just a few days before leaving my six-month stay in Cape Town, my only regret was not finding it sooner! This intimate, low lit, chic tapas bar is just the right mix of African zest and Spanish flavor. I was lucky enough to be there for Tuesday Jazz Night, which was perfectly paired with the delicious tapas and exotic cocktails.
[NadineMCG, 01/09/2011] I absolutely loved my stay at 3 Palms! - Gert made it feel like it was my home away from home straight away. His hospitality was exemplary - warm, hospitable and ensuring that i was settled in and happy. The property is beautiful and spacious, catering for winter nights with a beautiful fireplace as well as warm, snug comforters for snuggling on the coach watching TV. The garden has a fabulous heated pool, which i will definitely be back to try out in summer! I also have to mention their two gorgeous dogs - Lucy and Woody, who welcome you in, and give a personal escorted tour to the cottage. I

Then we had to wait for a shuttle for a while. They drive you down the hotel and the outside does not look very impressive. We were sent to the reception, where we waited for the manager. Finally she showed up and was a bit hectic. She showed us the lounge and restaurant which is nicely designed maybe all too beige and brown. But from there you had already the most fantastic view but when you go out onto the terrace it is breathtaking!
The rooms were nice wit

This gorgeous old Estate house is beautifully restored and set in gorgeous gardens with easy access to the wine region. With attentive staff a classy comfortable room and a delicious breakfast we couldn't have asked for anything more!
[tammyandy, 30/12/2010] We had high expectations from the website, but from the moment we arrived until leaving, we enjoyed one "WOW" moment after another! The address of Villa Afrikana is called Paradise. Ross & Bianca have certainly lived up to that standard. We think of their beautiful home as "African Chic". Every view, every room has features the spectacular Knysna lagoon. The style of their home is very bright, yet warm. Ross, Bianca and their attentive staff are so friendly, knowledgeable and have a wonderful way of making us their welcomed guests. Around every corner and with each day, we were pleasantly sur

[Nimayao, 11/10/2010] About a year ago my friends asked me to join them on a magical and rather extreme trip, I answered there question and said where to? And when they told me they were going to South Africa, there was no doubt at all... I joined
So we saved up our money and finally booked our tickets and ended up in Knysna last summer.
We had arranged that someone could pick us up at the airport, but I never knew that the Owner, Mr Ross, of the hotel would pick us up which was great. And the first thing that came to my mind was wow that guy looks exactly like the guy in Soprano. Don’t misunderstand me, but I re

[GlendaVen, 08/10/2010] Wonderfully appointed suites with a breathless view on the Knysna lagoon, this is really a place we would recommend.
Bright rooms, very comfortable beds, underfloor heating in the large bathrooms, with all the amenities you could need.
The staff are friendly, kind and very efficient; breakfast is really great, with a wide choice of specialities.
A swimming-pool and a parking are also provided.
On the "Paradise" hill, it's in an ideal position to visit Knysna and the surroundings.
[guest_Cape-Oasis-Gue, 30/09/2010] We spent a wonderful 16 days there and it was just perfect. We enjoyed every minute and Wolfgang and Katja were perfect hosts. The guesthouse has everything you need for a perfect holiday, whether it is a couple or the whole family.
The facilities are wonderful and I highly recommend it for any visitor from anywhere in the world. I will definitely go there again on my next visit to Cape Town. Thanks for a wonderful time. Ralph and Pines, Seoul, South Korea.tAV

Delicious breakfast, nice decorated rooms, big bathroom with rain shower.
New guesthouse, beatifully decorated. Quiet and nice place to chill and relax.
Recommendation to others.
[joke, 16/09/2010] We arrived in this guesthouse with a very warm welcome after a long flight. The breakfast is sumptuous, the rooms are very big, we enjoyed the rainshower, we spent many relaxing hours on the terrace with a cocktail, served by the hosts. The views are stunning and the new swimming pool is very nice and clean. We wil recommend this place to family and friends. Thanks again for everything, Yvo & Josiane
[Travelmamma, 08/09/2010] In July this year we spent a romantic weekend in the Winelands, touring - relaxing - enjoying. We stayed at Pontac Manor in Paarl, and booked on their special Time for Two package. We enjoyed luxury accommodation, a candle-lit dinner, delicious breakfast and a welcome drink. It was terrific - the staff were kind and attentive and the room we had was cosy and romantic. Excellent Value and a great stay.
[CatherineReichardt, 02/09/2010] In April 2010, we were lucky enough to spend a long weekend at gorgeous Pontac Manor in Paarl. Nestled at the base of Paarl Rock, Pontac is a gorgeous old manor house that has been tastefully and lovingly restored to its full splendour. Set amid beautiful English country style gardens complete with oak trees and resident squirrels, the hotel's atmosphere is reminiscent of a turn-of-the-centry English country house, and a delightful place to unwind for a few days.
Pontac has struck a good balance between elegance and unpretentiousness, and is surprisingly well priced for what it offers. The ho

[elothaller, 30/07/2010] We had a very pleasant stay during the World Cup. A charming Villa set on the slopes if Table Mountain within walking distance of the City Centre. Very friendly and helpful staff. Management went out of their way to provide us with insights, tips, etc. Good breakfast. Very nice and very clean rooms. Definitely would stay here again.
