[more]Housed within a large Victorian building the Wakefield Art Gallery contains several pieces from Henry Moore and Barbara Hepworth, two of the most prominent British sculptors, who were both born locally. Work by these people includes drawings and paintings as well as sculptures. In addition to these nationally important works there are also exhibits from lesser-known local artists.
Activities include workshops and talks by local artists. Facilities include a shop where prints are available to buy. The premises are fully accessible by disabled visitors and admission is free.
