The Laurel Point Inn is a waterfront hotel located downtown on Victoria's Inner Harbour. The rooms are clean and comfortable with waterviews and balconies. The best rooms are in the new wing at a higher price but the rooms in the old wing are perfectly fine. There are two restaurants (one is seasonal) which looked lovely - although I didn't have time to try them, a nice piano lounge, an oceanside patio and some peaceful Japanese gardens. The indoor pool area is nice and there's also a jacuzzi and sauna. The Legislative Building, conference center, Royal BC Museum, Beacon Hill Park and downtown shopping and entertainment venues are all within walking distance so it's a good hotel to base yourself in Victoria. The staff are really helpful and friendly and efficient.
