Its three main buildings, swimming pool and tennis court are situated on a fertile piece of land, overflowing with flowers and vines. The original main building is located on the most sheltered side of the island, which offers a splendid panorama of the lagoon. Located on the other side of the island, yet just a few minutes' walk away, are Palazzo Vendramin and Palazzetto Nani Barbaro, which both benefit from a front-row view of St Mark's Square and Basin. The hotel boasts 88 exquisitely decorated rooms and suites, simply but tastefully furnished, equipped with air conditioning, heating, direct dial telephone, cable TV, and safe deposit box. Some apartments have private terraces or gardens and Jacuzzis, and all have a kitchenette and a bar. The bathrooms are luxuriously fitted with precious marble and stucco. Amenities available to guests include a bar, restaurant, lounge, sauna, Turkish steam bath, conference room, and a car park. The hotel is located in the Giudecca Island in the south of Venice. There are excellent transport links on the island and the hotel offers a free boat service (24hours) to and from St. Mark's Square (5 min). The nearest train station Venice Santa Lucia is 15minutes away and the Venice Marco Polo airport 30min away by water taxi. Private transfers can be arranged by the hotel. There is a harbour just in front of the hotel with docking facilities for yachts and boats of up to 70 feet.
The hotel grounds consist of a modern main building with terraces overlooking the island of San Giorgio and 2 historical Palazzos surrounded by gardens.
The Olympic size pool is the only one in central Venice, and has filtered salt water. In spring and autumn it is kept heated. There is a private tennis, which is situated in the wonderful Venetian garden. There is a hair salon a wellness centre that offer fabulous treatments and a gym.
Deluxe rooms are quite spacious (33sqm). They are elegantly appointed with king or twin beds and overlook the hotel gardens or lagoon, some with private balcony and jacuzzi.
There are four restaurants in the hotel (Fortuny restaurant, Cip's Club, Gabbiano poolside restaurant, Grill). They serve modern and typical Venetian cuisine. Please note that jacket is required for dining in the Fortuny restaurant. Informal dining available in Cip's Club restaurant. There are four bars in the hotel. Full American breakfast is included.
