I organised a special trip marking our wedding anniversay and my husband's birthday. The Ca dei Conti had a "wow" factor on the internet. When we got there we were told that our allocated room had been flooded so they were going to transfer us to a different hotel. From reading previous reviews this was not the first time this had happened, so we kept firm to stay in the hotel and they placed us in an annex, separate to the hotel (almost like a block of flats).
We were taken to the attic.... there was no safe in the room, the bidet didnt work, the television had been changed to German speaking on the remote control that no-one could change back too even though we're both very fluent in English and italian. There was a roof window in the room which yet again the remote had been changed to a different language and it was only on the last night that after some trial and error we managed to work it out, otherwise the morning light woke us up very early indeed. All this was reported but best reply we got was we'll fix it soon, we'll repair it in the morning.... hmmm..... Lots of noises from pipework, etc.
On a good point - location was OK, so was the breakfast, the bed was so comfortable, that was terrific, cleaning was good too. If you stay here take the free trip to Murano Island, thats well worth it. You get to go by private taxi.
