The airport is opened in 1948. It is located in 8 km from the city center.
The flights are mostly charters and international and it is much more busy in the summers.
There are flights to more than 100 destinations and 35 countries.

[30.12.2007] The Varna harbor is the biggest in Bulgaria. It hosts any kind of ships and loads.
Varna is called the Bulgarian sea capital, and the harbor is the main diamond in its crown.
As its on the Black sea it has easy connections with Russia, Ukraine, Turkey and Asia.
The harbor has two parts Varna east and Varna west, which is in the Beloslav lake and the ships must limit their speed as the movements is one way.
