History

The airport is opened in 1948. It is located in 8 km from the city center.
The flights are mostly charters and international and it is much more busy in the summers.
There are flights to more than 100 destinations and 35 countries.

Transportation

BUS:
There are buses to the airport with cost of the ticket about 0.40 to 0.80 euro.
The bus number 409 goes from the airport passing by the central bus station, the center of St Constantin and finish at Golden sands. The bus line works 5.45 AM to 11 PM on every 15 minutes.

TAXI:
If you want to use taxi, I would advice check the rates especially if you go to the complexes.
The cost to the city center can cost between 3 - 8 euro.
The way is about 15 minutes.

There are 2 luggage lines and 6 passport control counters.

Check-in

The passengers must arrive 2 hours before the flight. There are 18 passport control counters.

The new terminal

In 2007 was opened the new terminal, which serves departures with 4 exists. There are also shops and coffee shop.

Facilities

At the airport there are money exchange counters on Terminal 3 and 4.
There is also VIP hall ането, персонално отвеждане от/до самолета.
The 5 coffee shops serve alcohol and non alcoholic and hot drinks, sandwiches and sweets.

Duty free shops

At the airport there are 3 duty-free shops. They offer cigarettes, alcohol, parfumes, souvenirs, jewellery and many other things.
