[more]Just imagine. You wake up in the Finca Valle de Mira. After a comfortable shower, you get ready for a wonderful day. The first thing you do is open your bedroom window. Look at the sky, chickens, flowers, the silence, fresh air, true light, small donkey, silence, the pigs, silence, some birds in the distance, others closer, silence, forgotten smells of the countryside...This is the ideal entertainment programme and not that of the television!Now the breakfast. The same as days gone by. Without any diets (or yes), without any hurry. After a short time to relax while you make plans for the day ahead. The farm is situated in the province of Badajoz, in Valverde de Legans, around 400 km from Madrid. Paradoxically, this Extremadura farmland, a land of discoverers, is yet to be discovered. Among the olive trees and Holm Oaks, facing the Sierra de Alor Mountains; in the middle of villages full of history, dolmens and ancient routes. A little of everything. Also you will be able to enjoy its true delicacies, because this land offers some extraordinary cheeses and excellent Iberian pork products. It sounds good, doesnt it?Well, you decide how best to programme your day. Perhaps, what you would like is to go to Elvas and buy some towels, or leave yourself be served by some of the friendly bar owners in the area. Or maybe, what you would rather do is to go on your bike around the lovely surrounding areas, or hiking... o not. Or sleep or... whatever takes your fancy. There are those who are keen to take photos. On this subject, you must speak with our host, Michael, because he has been working as a photographer for more than 35 years, in advertising and in fashion, the whole photography industry. And, if what you prefer to talk about other interesting things, Lu (the hostess), knows quite a lot about siatsu, and when it comes to cooking, there are few who are better than her. Young John, given his young age, does not yet have a lot of experience but if you wish, he can introduce you to his secret tree... Anyway, everyone to their own. You may miss some of the hustle and bustle, if so, pay a visit to Olivenza, Mrida or Zafra, Badajoz, Trujillo and Cceres, just a stones throw away. Or for those of you who are not so lazy with the car, Lisbon is only two hours away. To end the day, John, Michael and Lu will accompany you to a delicious dinner with a dessert and a delightful after meal chat in front of the fireplace in winter, or on the terrace in the summer.
