The hotel doesn’t look anything special from the first moment you see it. When you are facing the entrance you have the idea that you are in a residential area and when you look at the other side of the hotel out of a window you see a busy road. Not so special view but sometimes that’s not really what you are there for.
It is close to the A2 Dutch highway so I think the hotel is easy accessible with the car. When coming with public transport it’s a bit far from the central station so you better get a taxi especially when you have a suitcase with you. When coming with car there is more than enough parking space at the hotel for you to park.
I found it regrettable that the description said it was 10 minutes’ walk to the conference building at the fairgrounds. The exhibition halls are father away. I have not walked but the taxi took 10 minutes anyway.
The building of the hotel is nothing special but upon entering it gets somewhat better. The reception is immediately on your right. On the left you also see that there is a lounge area with inviting chairs and a sofa and different magazines. On the other hand you have a restaurant where you can order from a small menu.
This Ibis Hotel has 80 rooms available which are distributed over 5 floors. Most rooms are for 1 and or 2 persons suitable and it was very nice that everything was very clean. Just a pity that the rooms on the busy road are so noisy at the evening. So falling asleep can be quite difficult for some people but the beds were very nice with a good blanket, good pillows and sheets. Also the room and bathroom were very clean but what is missing was a toilet brush. Furthermore the rooms were cleaned every day.
The bar I thought was not particularly good. There was enough alcohol present but they didn’t had a lot of choice. The menu I found not so extensive so it’s not really a restaurant to go for dinner. The breakfast was ok. They had orange juice and multivitamins but from a vending machine. For the rest it was a buffet with everything going on but I thought the quality was actually no relation to the price.
At this hotel you can pay by credit card, debit card and cash. So you have various options but they want when you arrive your credit card (or other) to ensure that you can pay. When I was informed about the prices they told me € 89. The breakfast was 15 euros.
I spend € 114 plus the tourist tax of 10 euro’s which I thought was weird. I wouldn’t really go back to this hotel and this is because the room was cold and quite noisy and the breakfast I thought was not really great. The bathroom was very clean and there was a good shower with hot water. A large mirror is always a positive thing. The staff was very friendly but it was just not worth the money in the end.
