Dick Bruna House

The Dick Bruna House opened in 2006 as a tribute to one of Utrecht's most famous sons and the characters he created - most famously the little white rabbit called Miffy. The museum tracks Bruna's career in the family publishing business, identifies his artistic influences and offers visitors insight into the world of Bruna's imagination.

The Centraal Museum was founded in 1838 and is the oldest municipal museum in the Netherlands. The collections of the museum include exhibits of art ranging from old masters to modern art and design, as well as fashion and local history and a particularly well-preserved ship - called the Utrecht Ship - that is believed to be more than a thousand years old.
Entrance is €8 for adults, €2 for children under 12 and €6 for older children and other concessions.

The Domkerk of Utrecht as seen today is all that remains of a previously much larger cathedral which was partially destroyed by a tornado in the 17th century. The Nicolai Church with its two towers was built at the beginning of the 12th century and owes its name to the junction of waterways near its location. During the years the church has had some minor changes which are still visible inside, but in the 15th century the church had an important change, the Roman cross basilica changed into a Gothic hall church and in 1579 it became a protestant church which it still is today.
