San Gregorio Gold Expo

Located approximately 2km from Minas de Corrales and 450km from Montevideo, the San Gregorio "open pit" gold mine, the largest of its kind in Uruguay, is operated by UME and offers a bi-annual expo which lasts for two days.
Visitors are afforded the opportunity to explore the operations and view various exhibits. Guided bus tours of installations are provided and facilities include a funfair for children.
