excellent
[07.02.2008] This is a great hotel located outside of Boston, but near enough that you an easily travel to it, or tour the rest of new England from it. Very good service, clean rooms and overall a great hotel for the money. One word of note: The 901 is a toll road, costing between $1.40 and $2.20 to and from Boston, depending on which junction you join at. You can drive to Boston via Route 9 (non-toll), but this is very busy [more]

[17.05.2007] I found my three-night stay here to be quite pleasant, and if you are staying here in order to visit the convention centre, it is ideal. However, if you are a tourist, choose a hotel located nearer the main tourist areas. [more]

[17.05.2007] Cape Royal Drive is an excellent drive to take when visiting the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. The drive is approximately 23 miles each way, and it is not a loop. You can either drive down and take each view point as it comes or drive straight to the end and then stop off on the way back, we chose the former. Our first stop was Point Imperial which is located at the end of a three mile spur road. Point Imperial i [more]

[12.05.2007] I went to the Smoky Mountains armed with a book called The Unofficial Guide to the Smoky Mountains - it was a godsend. As usual in these areas, you get all the booklets and guides, and they all concentrate on the most popular places. This is fine, but sometimes you don't want to be looking at something with hundreds of other people. This book gave details of places that were not readily advertised and thus, we never [more]

[12.05.2007] The whole experience of Yosemite is awesome. There is Mariposa Grove for the giant trees, Glacier Point for views to die for, The Valley for more views and a bit of culture, an sightseeing beyond your wildest dreams. Glacier Point This has to be the most breathtaking place I have ever been to. It is truly awesome. You are left speechless by its sheer beauty and size. I could go on forever about the snow-capped [more]

[12.05.2007] Maripose Grove is located to the south of Yosemite national Park, but a an attraction within itself with it own entrance fee etc. The grove contains some of the biggest, tallest and oldest trees in the world. The giant sequoia trees have been around about 70 million years. To put this into perpective, dinosaurs (and many other varieties of living things) went extinct around 66 million years ago, but the giant seq [more]

[11.05.2007] Muir Woods is located just north of Sausalito across the Golden Gate Bridge, just a few miles from San Francisco. It is about as different from San Francisco as you can get. The trees here are the giant redwood variety, which grow extremely tall with wide trunks, although they are not as big and impressive here as at Mariposa Grove in Yosemite National Park. If you are in the area, it is well worth the short trip, [more]

[11.05.2007] In order to visit Alcatraz, you have to board a boat at Pier 41 for the short ride across to the island itself. When you disembark, a tour guide greets you and explains the routes to take and what to expect, etc. There is quite a lot of walking up stairs and hills, so for those with disabilities and the like, there is a trolley bus to take you to the top. We started off by going into the theatre to watch a film ab [more]

[11.05.2007] It is very difficult to rate this hotel as there are as many good things about it as there are bad. As we stayed here some time ago, they may well have address the issue I bring up, but not having been back there (or ever likely to - the hotel, not San Francisco), I cannot comment. If you plan to go to SF, I would not recommend this hotel. There are so many others about to choose from that are better. I would how [more]

very good
[11.05.2007] We only had one complaint about the hotel and that was that when we arrived having driven from Atlanta, we discovered the shower had no curtain. As we were anxious to have a shower, we phoned down to housekeeping and were told that they would send one straight up only to find that it still hadn't arrived an hour later. In the end it took three hours and several calls and visits to reception to get the curtain sorted. [more]
